A border spokesman reports that 50 trucks carrying aid arrive in Gaza through the Rafah entrance.

The communications representative for the Palestinian authority for crossing and borders, Hesham Edwan, told CNN that fifty trucks loaded with food and medical supplies had crossed the border between Egypt and Gaza on Saturday.

On its official Facebook page, the Palestinian Red Crescent verified the crossing and stated that their crews had “received aid trucks through the Rafah crossing from our partners in the Egyptian Red Crescent.”

The supplies are being made in spite of the peace between Israel and Hamas breaking down and the release of hostages.

During the ceasefire, additional supplies reached Gaza, although the UN claimed that given the territory’s population of over two million, the amount was “completely inadequate.”
