An Amber Alert was revoked by the provincial police of Quebec for a Repentigny, Quebec, 8-year-old girl.

The alarm had been sent out by the police around 6:30 on Sunday morning.

The alert stated that the youngster was taken approximately 12 p.m. on Saturday.

Police said that the alert had been cancelled at around seven in the morning on Sunday on X, the social media site that was once known as Twitter.

The young child was said to be discovered unharmed by the police. Information on potential charges has not been made public.

The Sûreté du Québec posted on social media that the young girl is safe and well.
