In A Letter To His “Dear Family,” Prime Minister Modi Requests Ideas For Viksit Bharat

Seeking input for his “Viksit Bharat” agenda, Prime Minister Modi hopes to secure more than 400 seats in the next election. gives credit to the people for government accomplishments.

On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked certain people for their opinions on how to best shape the Union government’s agenda for “Viksit Bharat,” or developed India.

The prime minister wrote: “I need and indeed look forward to your ideas, suggestions and support as we work to fulfil the resolve of building a Viksit Bharat.” The letter was sent on the eve of the general election declaration.

The prime minister, who is running for a third term in office, has set a goal for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its allies to win more than 400 seats. One of the main election platforms of the BJP is its development program and its pledge to create a Viksit Bharat by 2047.

In order to guarantee “social changes, technical innovations, and economic reforms, to raise India’s position at the global level,” the PM formulated the Viksit Bharat agenda.

The PM wrote in his letter, “Our partnership is at the threshold of completing a decade,” adhering to the BJP’s “Modi Ka Parivaar” (Modi’s family) narrative. 

The message was addressed to “my dear family members.” My motivation and inspiration come from the trust and support of 140 crore Indians.

The “transformation that has taken place in the lives of the people” is attributed to government plans and programs, which he refers to as “the biggest achievement of our government over the last 10 years.”

“These profound effects are the consequence of a government that is sincerely committed to raising the standard of living for the impoverished, farmers, young people, and women.

The letter stated, “Only because of your trust in me has the success of projects like the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’s pucca houses, everyone’s access to LPG, electricity, and water, Ayushman Bharat’s free medical treatments, farmers’ financial support, Matru Vandana Yojana’s assistance to women, and many more, been made possible.”

The Prime Minister has further acknowledged that the government’s ability to make “historic and major decisions” like enacting the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, implementing the GST, repealing Article 370, passing a new law regarding triple talaq, and taking strong action against terrorism and left-wing extremism is due to the “trust and support” that voters bestowed upon him.

The beauty of democracy is found in public engagement, or Janbhagidari. The letter asked for proposals to fulfill the resolve to construct a Viksit Bharat. 

It stated, “It is your support that gives me the immense strength to take bold decisions for the nation’s welfare, draw up aspirational plans and implement them smoothly.”
