Tyrese Haliburton, a guard with the Pacers, will not play in Monday night’s Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals due to a strained left hamstring, according to Pacers coach Rick Carlisle.

Since aggravating his hamstring injury during the first half of Game 2 in Boston last Thursday, Haliburton has missed two consecutive games.

Despite “desperately wanting to play,” he missed Game 3, according to Carlisle.

Despite having an 18-point advantage in the second half of the game, the Pacers were unable to secure a victory over Boston. The Celtics took a 3-0 series lead after the victory.

The Pacers planned to take things cautious when it came to Haliburton’s hamstring after he missed ten games in January due to the same problem, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

In his first career postseason run, Halliburton, who was voted to the third team of the NBA All-Stars last week, is averaging 18.7 points and 8.2 assists in 15 games. He has helped the Pacers win two series despite being the lower seed.

In the meanwhile, the Celtics have declared that Luke Kornet and Jrue Holiday will be ready for Game 4. Kristaps Porzingis is still not back.
