A young eastern brown snake that was discovered tucked away under laundry in a resident’s bedroom was discovered by snake catcher Daniel Rumsey, as seen in a video posted on Facebook by Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7.

“Literally trying to hide among the undies, on the second story, is the second most venomous snake on the planet,” says Rumsey in the video.

She recalled, “Lucky, he stuck his head under the housemate’s door; otherwise, he would have gone undetected, and I might have copped a bite when I went to bed.”

After being captured, the snake was securely moved to a remote area far from populated areas.
