Alka Yagnik, a Bollywood playback singer, has been identified as having an uncommon sensory hearing loss.

The seasoned singer stated on Instagram, “A few weeks ago, as I was walking out of a flight, I suddenly felt I was not able to hear anything.”

She disclosed that she was diagnosed with sensorineural nerve hearing loss, an extremely uncommon condition, as a result of a viral infection.

Alka Yagnik gave a health update and disclosed that she suffered sensorineural hearing loss. She requested her “fans, friends, followers and well-wishers” to pray for her.

Alka Yagnik, a well-known Bollywood playback singer from the 1990s who sang on hundreds of songs with stars including Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi, announced that she had been diagnosed with ‘a rare sensorineural nerve hearing loss’ as a result of a’sudden viral infection’.

The singer thanked her friends and fans on Monday in a lengthy Instagram statement, explaining why she had been “missing in action” and requesting their “support and understanding.”

Alka started by writing, “To all my fans, friends, followers and well-wishers,” next to an undated picture of herself. A few weeks prior, when I was leaving an aircraft, I felt as though my hearing had suddenly stopped.

After gathering some bravery in the weeks that followed the incident, I would like to finally speak up in response to all of my friends and well-wishers who have been enquiring as to why I have been absent from the scene.

My doctors have determined that it is an uncommon sensorineural nerve hearing loss brought on by a viral infection.This unexpected, significant setback has totally caught me off guard.
